Primary 2019 LWV Candidates Night Scheduled

The Centre County League of Women Voters' Candidates' Night for the 2019 Primary Election is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1st 2019, beginning at 6:45 pm. The event will take place in the State College Borough Council Chambers, Room 304, 243 South Allen Street in State College. Please note that the LWV Candidates' Night will follow the Centre Daily Times Congressional Candidate's Forum which begins at 6:30 pm. 

The LWV of Centre County's Primary Candidates' Night will only feature candidates who are in opposed races for the Primary Election.  The schedule for the May 1st Candidates' Night is below:

6:45 pm   Welcome

6:50 pm   Centre County Board of Commissioners Republican Primary Candidates

7:20 pm   State College Borough Council Democratic Primary Candidates

8:10 pm   Benner Township Board of Supervisors Republican Primary Candidates

8:20 pm   Bellefonte Area Board of School Directors Candidates (all have cross-filed)

9:10 pm   State College Area Board of School Directors Candidates (all have cross-filed)

10 pm   Moderator closes forum

In addition to accepting questions from the audience, the LWVCC will also be accepting questions for candidates via email to  In order to be considered, questions must be received by 5 pm on Monday, April 29th.  Please be sure to indicate in your email the candidates to whom you wish your question to be addressed (Centre County Commissioners, State College Borough Council, etc.)  All questions will be subject to screening by the LWV Centre County.
